Preparing to Join
Your journey from Year 11 to Year 12
We will keep in touch after you apply so you know what to expect at each stage. There will be opportunities to learn more about your subjects, prepare for the step up to Level 3 study and ask questions before September.
Subject transition work
Each subject sets preparation work to help students make a strong start. It may include reading, research or short tasks introducing the knowledge and skills you will need in Year 12.
Complete the work for the subjects you expect to study. If you change a subject after GCSE Results Day, speak to the relevant teacher about what you need to prepare.

GCSE Results Day and enrolment
On Results Day, applicants will use their existing Applicaa account to check their details, provide their results as instructed, review their proposed courses and submit their enrolment information.
Our team will check that you meet the requirements for your programme. If your results are different from those you expected, or you would like to change a subject, please speak to us. We will help you consider the suitable courses available.
We will send separate practical guidance to Castle students and students joining from other schools before Results Day.
Starting Sixth Form
Our induction arrangements will help you meet your tutor and other students, become familiar with the Post-16 Centre and understand how your timetable, independent study and school systems work.
