GCSE Results 2026

💙💛💙💛 Students, families and staff at The Castle School in Thornbury are celebrating a fabulous set of GCSE results today. Headteacher Jessica Lobbett said “I am immensely proud of the whole school community, and it has been wonderful to celebrate together this morning. Overall attainment across all subjects continues to be incredibly strong and well above national average. As a result, our young people are all set to progress into our Post 16 Centre or colleges and apprenticeships of their choice.

Our highest attainers include:

Rizvi Syed – 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 8, 8, 8, 7
Wiktoria Kordas - 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 8, 7
Ki Nok Tong - 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 8, 7, 6, 4, D*2
Alexander Loss - 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 8, 8, 8, 7, 7, 6
Isobel Sayers - 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 8, 8, 8, 8, 6

For many of our students their results and progress throughout their time at The Castle School show an incredible personal achievement, significant progress and tremendous hard work. It is important to note that today’s successes are not, and should not be, measured solely by numerical attainment demonstrated through the achievement of the 'top' grades'. We are hugely proud of the results achieved by Tommie Costin, Michael Movila, Franklin Haley, Caleb Hopkins, Lola Hampson, Olivia Matthews and Adhiraj Pawar; in each case we are sure that their families and friends will be just as proud as we are of their achievements. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated staff, and to parents and family members who have joined us in our educational endeavours. I wish the students every success for the next stage in their lives.

Well done all! 💙💛💙💛
