E-Safety

With all of the potential that the online world and new technology offers, young people now have access to huge opportunities. They use technology to express themselves, find information, explore, and be creative; it has changed the way they communicate.

E-safety within the Personal Development Curriculum

The Castle School covers e-safety areas to ensure that students have an excellent understanding of how to stay safe online and of the dangers of inappropriate use of mobile technology and social networking.

Security is taken very seriously and students are taught to use the Internet constructively, be aware of the benefits and how to stay safe when using the Internet.

Further information and advice

As a parent it can sometimes be challenging to keep up to speed with what children and young people are doing online. The links below can provide further information and advice on technologies used by young people and have lots of practical and useful tips on how to help keep both you and your child safe, help you talk to your child about their online life, manage boundaries around family internet use and point you in the direction of where to get further help and support.
