Parent Tours

To also support our prospective parents and carers of Year 7 students for September 27, we will also be running a number of day-time tours around the school.  Tours are organised for two weeks commencing Friday 2nd October to Friday 16th October 2026. All tours will run from 8:30am to 9:30am with a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

To book onto one of these tours, please email cas-enquiries.tcs@cset.co.uk.

We also hope that all the information contained in this website will help you get a good understanding of what we stand for and what we offer at The Castle School.

We are delighted to welcome you to our school. Choosing a secondary school is a very big decision and we hope that our website and this webpage helps you to learn more about us.

We are a truly comprehensive school that is proud to be an integral part of our local community.  We are very lucky to have so many talented, hard-working teachers and support workers; their expertise, enthusiasm and care for young people is impressive.

One of the advantages of a very large school is that we are able to offer a wide variation of subjects and extra-curricular opportunities. We are also able to offer a broad curriculum within our large Sixth Form, where students achieve results significantly above national averages, and which acts as the post-16 provision for both The Castle and Marlwood schools.

We care about each individual student and have the highest ambitions and expectations for them. We distil this down to a very simple message for all students – “Work Hard, be Kind, be Respectful”.  We look forward to seeing them grow and develop over the seven years, and we hope they will also enjoy the academic success, the extra-curricular opportunities and the development of personal skills that has been characteristic of this school for so many years.

For more information please do explore all of our website, which acts as our prospectus and aims to provide lots of detail about the school. If you can’t find an answer there please contact us directly at cas-enquiries.tcs@cset.co.uk and we’d be delighted to answer your questions.
